At Wizcoasts Group, the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees, contractors, clients, and communities is our highest operational priority. We are committed to conducting all business activities across every Group company in a manner that prevents injury, protects health, preserves the environment, and ensures the safety of everyone who interacts with our operations.

This is not a compliance exercise. It is a core expression of who we are and the values we hold. Every member of the Wizcoasts Group  from the Managing Director to the delivery driver, from the security guard to the solar installation technician is responsible for upholding our HSE standards without exception.

Our HSE goal is simple: zero incidents, zero harm, zero compromise.

THE THREE PILLARS OF OUR HSE COMMITMENT

1. Health

We prioritize the physical and mental wellbeing of every individual associated with Wizcoasts Group operations. Our health commitments include:

  • Regular health and fitness assessments for operational staff to ensure fitness for duty
  • Provision of safe, healthy working environments across all Group companies and client sites
  • Access to first aid equipment and trained first aid responders at all operational sites
  • Clear protocols for the reporting and response to health-related incidents
  • Support for employee mental wellbeing and stress management
  • Compliance with all applicable occupational health regulations in Nigeria

We believe that a healthy workforce is a productive workforce, and we invest in the health of our people as a fundamental business priority.

2. Safety

Safety is embedded in every operational procedure across all five Wizcoasts Group divisions. Our safety framework includes:

Wizcoasts Oil (Fuel & Generator Operations):

  • All delivery and installation personnel operate in full branded PPE  including safety boots, gloves, reflective vests, and appropriate headgear at every site.
  • Strict adherence to safe fuel handling, transfer, and storage protocols to prevent spills, leaks, and fire hazards.
  • Pre-delivery site safety assessments for new client locations.
  • Full documentation of every delivery for accountability and incident traceability.
  • Trained personnel for generator maintenance, electrical safety, and fuel system installation.

Wizcoasts Energy Solutions (Solar & Power Systems):

  • All electrical installations are performed by qualified technicians following certified electrical safety standards.
  • Post-installation safety inspection and client handover documentation for every system installed.
  • Use of quality-certified solar panels, inverters, and batteries that meet applicable safety standards.
  • Clear safety briefings provided to clients on system operation and emergency procedures.

Alvin Security Global (Security Operations):

  • All security personnel undergo thorough background verification and professional security training before deployment.
  • Regular refresher training in security procedures, emergency response, and conflict de-escalation.
  • Security posts are equipped with appropriate communication tools and emergency response resources.
  • Incident reporting and review system to continuously improve security operations.

Wizcoasts Food (Food Safety):

  • Strict compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations in all food preparation, storage, and service activities.
  • Regular hygiene training for all food service staff.
  • Use of approved and properly stored ingredients with documented food preparation processes.
  • Regular inspection of food preparation environments and equipment for hygiene compliance.

Doche Design (Workshop Safety):

  • Safe use of all design equipment, sewing machinery, and materials in the Doche Design workshop.
  • Proper handling and storage of all materials, including fabrics, dyes, and adhesives.
  • Clean and organized workshop environment maintained at all times.

3. Environment

Wizcoasts Group acknowledges its responsibility as a corporate citizen to protect the natural environment in which we operate. Our environmental commitments include:

  • Prevention of fuel spills and prompt, responsible cleanup in the event of any accidental discharge.
  • Responsible waste disposal across all Group operations, including proper disposal of used oils, batteries, and packaging materials.
  • Active promotion of clean energy alternatives through Wizcoasts Energy Solutions as a direct investment in Nigeria’s environmental future.
  • Reduction of carbon emissions through the replacement of diesel generator hours with solar and battery power.
  • Compliance with all applicable Nigerian environmental laws and regulations.
  • Continuous evaluation of our environmental footprint and commitment to improving our performance over time.

  4. Incident Reporting — Any incident, near-miss, or unsafe condition is immediately reported and investigated so we can prevent recurrence.
  5. Client Site Respect — We treat every client site as we would our own   leaving it cleaner, safer, and better than we found it.
  6. Continuous Improvement — We review our HSE performance regularly and implement improvements based on lessons learned.

HSE RESPONSIBILITIES

Role Responsibility
Managing Director Sets HSE policy, ensures Group-wide compliance, and models HSE leadership behaviour
Division Managers Implement HSE standards within their division, ensure staff training, and manage incident response
Operational Staff Follow all HSE procedures, use required PPE, report incidents promptly, and work safely at all times
Clients & Visitors Follow site safety rules communicated by Wizcoasts personnel during service delivery

REGULATORY COMPLIANCE

Wizcoasts Group operates in full compliance with all applicable Nigerian laws, regulations, and industry standards governing health, safety, and the environment, including but not limited to:

  • Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR/NMDPRA) regulations for oil and gas operations
  • Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) product standards
  • Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) guidelines for power installations
  • National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA) environmental regulations
  • Local Government and State environmental and business operation requirements
